Nightlife in Salinas is centered around the “malecon” or city boardwalk.  Just take a stroll down the avenue and bar hop from place to place.  Most places don’t charge cover, so you are free to meander. 

The only problem is that the city is dead unless it is a weekend or a local holiday.

The busiest times of year, when Salinas actually is packed to capacity, is Easter week and the first week of January during New Year.
